What you told us you liked about
The Radical Middle
Way
in London
|
|
The intention of the
event |
|
The chance to see such
great scholars. to see so many people come to the event
|
|
An opportunity to see the
shaykhs |
|
Well organised
|
|
I thought the event was
well organised and a credit to all those involved, the
speakers were excellent, and everything ran smoothly. All
the people helping out were also very nice and friendly
|
|
Aoa, ma-shallah an
exceptionally well organised and co-ordinated event. Great
time keeping which is not usually associated with such
events. Each of the speakers stuck to the theme and gave
their own resounding definition of the Radical Middle Way.
The line up of speakers was a mixture of the contemporary
(Sidi Moez) and the Classical (Shaykh Habib and Murad). For
me it was a close call between Shaykh Murad and The Habaib
as to whom I preferred most, but out of reverence I think
the Habaib shaded it. JZK for all your efforts, may Allah
(swt) reward the entire team for your efforts for bringing
much required light into our lives amidst all this darkness.
Wa-salaam ps loved the chocolate, where can I get some more!
|
|
The variety of speakers
and manner of presentation, the honesty, open dialogue, the
particular choice of speakers, the target audience - the way
it addressed the youth without patronising them, having said
that it was appropriate for all ages. The professionalism.
Good sound system. It is difficult to choice a favourite -
they were all great Alhamdulillah |
|
The event was absolutely
amaaaazing. Moez Masoud's talk was the most relevant for me
but all the speakers touched my heart and made me want to be
a better person. |
|
Well organised with
distinguished scholars. |
|
Jazakum Allah khair for
your efforts in organising such an event. I was blessed to
have heard about this event just the Wednesday before. In
all honesty I had only heard of Abdul Hakim Murad and Moez
Massoud. Your site provided an account by Hasan Le Gai Eaton
about his journey to reverting to Islam. I was impressed and
intrigued by his knowledge and openness to truth which
further propelled me to attend the event. I also had not
heard of Habib Ali Al-Jifri however his site did not provide
details about the individual himself. Mashallah I was not
let down on the night. It was a delightful and refreshing
mix of speakers from various backgrounds/experiences which
was also reflected in the mix of attendees. All speakers
were brilliant, educational, inspiring and timely. It was
great to learn how these intellectuals presented their
respective talks from different angles all on the same
topic, The Radical Middle Way. Truly a blessed event
executed with good thought and organisation. I was also
happy to learn the different (and probably at times
competitive) sponsors unite to bring forth this event. This
is Islam in motion and practice. A rich diverse ummah,
united in La illaha illallah. I am eager and excited to
follow through with the progress of The Radical Middle Way.
I have already mentioned this to family and friends who are
also keen to learn more about future events of The Radical
Middle Way. Once again Jazakum Allah Khair. May you be
continually blessed with beneficial knowledge, patience,
eman and great reward for your work and efforts.
|
|
I would like to thank the
people involved in organising this event and allowing us to
be in the company of the people who preserve this religion
of ours. May Allah Subhana Wa Ta'la reward you immensely for
your intentions and efforts. |
|
Bringing such
knowledgeable Sheikh's to speak to us |
|
The opportunity to listen
to enlightened scholars. |
|
IN THE NAME OF ALLAH;
SINCERE EFFORT |
|
The fact that they happen
at all. |
|
Everything
|
|
Habib Ali
|
|
The wide selection of
scholars, especially Habib, May Allah increase Mahabba in
their works and accept it Inshallah I also like the idea of
free streaming and downloading on the net, taking into
consideration the slow muslim production of getting such
stuff out |
|
It was very well
organised. All speakers were very well selected and were
given the appropriate time for speeches. As the event was
hosted at the K&C town hall has makes it accessible to none
Muslims and makes it easier to invite some non Muslim
friends. Surely, being free entry was good, but it is not
the main issue. |
|
The Speakers themselves,
the setup of segregation and the smooth running of the event
Alhamdulillah! |
|
The event was most
appropriate for the time and age in which we live, and the
changing challenges that confront the muslim community and
young Muslims in general. |
|
I think it is a good
idea. I think what I appreciated the most was that amongst
the crowd I was amongst a handful of "Muslim" women that
wasn't wearing a hijab or jilbab - I neither was stared at,
nor did I feel uncomfortable attending without a hijab. This
is not the case normally at these kind of events, of this
size! So good on you for setting a good environment.
|
|
I benefited from all
lectures and I found that there was such diversity in each
of the speakers as to keep my attention. I found each had
their own appeal and each spoke in a such a unique way. It
would have been nice if Abdal-Hakim Murad had spoken for a
bit longer however the time was also maintained well..
|
|
I learnt so much bout the
Muslims being a middle nation, and how sheik Habib Ali tried
to define in middle in different ways which sound amazing.
It was a great night for me, and all the speakers were great
and have inspired me alot. I definately would love to hear
them again on different topics. Jazakallah khair to everyone
who made the night happen! |
|
May Allah bless you all.
The event was truly beautiful, enlightening, eye-opening and
special. I cannot imagine the immense barakah and blessings
that would have descended upon that gathering. Truly
awesome. We are in need of such glowing lanterns of guidance
to show us the way in these dark times. Habib Ali is a man
of Allah, and I thank you for allowing us to sit in his
presence for event a moment. May Allah bless you and assist
you in making more events like this possible.
|
|
the sheikhs
|
|
It was free!!!!!!!
|
|
Shaykh Habib Ali & Shaykh
Hakim Murad were here together and it was free to see some
one like Shaykh Habib Ali. it was good to have stalls and
nasheed group. |
|
Abdal Hakim Murad and
Habib Ali's speech, and that it was free. May Allah reward u
all. |
|
The fact that all these
great prolific speakers and scholars were coming together
for a talk in one place at one time....fantastic opportunity
|
|
I loved all the speakers.
I know, it's brief! |
|
From a stallholder point
of view there was ample time for people to browse before and
during the event. Also there were not that many stalls which
I was surprised about but handpicking good stalls gives the
stall are an overall better appearance and people become
accustomed to a range of quality items on offer.
|
|
Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad.
|
|
The venue was appropriate
to the topic being discussed and allowed for all male and
female attendance. |
|
The brilliant lectures by
Sh Abdal Hakim Murad and Sh Habib Ali Jifri.. these sort of
lectures and speakers are a rarity and are gems to the
community in the UK. Thank you so much for organising this
event and may Allah's blessings be upon you all, you are
helping spread beauty and love amongst Muslims and the wider
community and I pray for a similar such a reward for you
from Allah. Please can you forward my thanks to the Shaykhs
if possible, we love them a lot and value them loads!
|
|
The talks themselves were
very good especially in the current climate we Muslims are
living in. Contents as well as delivery of talks was
excellent. |
|
Diversity of speakers
International and world renowned speakers Famous reverts to
Islam |
|
1. That the Event was in
a convenient location 2. That registration of interest of
those wishing to attend was well recorded. 3. That entry to
the event was well organized. 4. That the entry was free.
|
|
I thought the
organisation was excellent and the speakers presented their
talks in a clear and precise manner. All the talks had
substance and I believe it was a very good ad for Islam,
particularly for non Muslims, that is if any turned up.
Departing from the usual paradigm we have so often been
exposed to, this event was quite refreshing. Again, I just
like to say how inspiring all the speakers were, in
particular Abdul Hakim Murad. Scholars such as him are truly
a blessing from Allah (swt, in my humble opinion. Also well
done to all who participated in managing and presenting the
event, may Allah (swt) reward you all. |
|
- Started promptly - Good
relevant topics and good mix of speakers from different
background. - Accessible venue - Segregation was dealt with
well - The online booking facility was good as it allowed
those who booked to be allowed in first -kept the logistics
of dealing with the queues easier I think. - This feedback
method that you are using is an excellent way of gauging
opinion, masha-Allah. Hope my few comments are of use.
|
|
Bringing qualified people
together to such an event to address the core issues facing
Muslims. The Sheikh and academics are so inspiring, they
help people to refocus their efforts and learning. It was
organised very well - started on time - the free caramel
ummah bars were great |
|
That it was a free event.
I really appreciated this. It has become all too common to
pay extortionate amounts to see/ hear our scholars and to
learn our deen. Especially in the difficult times Muslims in
the west face now. Our scholars are needed more now than
ever as is their guidance now more paramount then ever. We
should try to endeavour to make as many of these events free
as possible as the need for them now is dire (although I
appreciate that this is not always possible).
|
|
Appreciated that it was
well organised, ran smoothly, was free (so that the more
sceptical of us were able to attend) |
|
Habib Ali. bring him
again very very very quick |
|
the topic was good, Moez
talk was good because he was aiming at the young Muslims.
|
|
contemporary. well
structured. well advertised. |
|
calling really good
speakers like Shaykh Habib Ali and Shaykh Abdul Hakim Murad.
Also having a nasheed group there. The Conference hall was
big and it was easier move around. The stalls were very good
give people bit of time to shop. I the best thing was this
event was free. |
|
Good atmosphere.
|
|
I believe that one of the
most important aspects of events such as these, is that it
allows me to invite my friends who otherwise are hesitant to
come to mosques. this particular event was very well
organised and the venue was very comfortable. And most
importantly like the majority of people I think the
combination of speakers were excellent in their own rights.
|
|
I very much enjoyed the
event and believe it is highly relevant to the times we are
living in. We need more events like this on a regular basis.
Please let me know if a copy is available of the evening.
Jazak Allah Khair. |
|
the range of speakers.
|
|
The comments made were
appropriate. The followers of particular Shuyukh didn't take
over everything. The events ran pretty much to time.

The topic was perfect -
very appropriate and desperately needed here today. Its nice
to hear people speak forcefully and unapologetically about
the middle-way and really bring home the meaning of what
that exactly is. Too often the mainstream majority is too
quiet. It struck the heart beautifully, and I believe the
younger members of the audience would have benefited
especially. People talk of 'the middle way' without really
understanding its meanings in terms of its inner as well as
practical dimensions. Lets have some more like it!
|
|
iIt taught me alot about
things I didn't know and also having the opportunity to see
and listen to Habib Ali, that was amazing...
|
|
1)I think logistics team
did every well 2)Over all well organised 3)Alhabib Ali’s
talk just moved my iman to another level and I think it was
the most relevant to the theme of the event and message was
well conveyed 4)The translator of Habib Ali was as good as
the speaker.. although this talk particularly took long
compared to others…but the interpreter I think had a big
role in conveying the message in English.
|
|
the gathering of the
Muslims, the topic was really good and Habib Ali al-Jifri's
talk was amazing... please please arrange another seminar
with Habib Ali because we all enjoyed his company and his
knowledge |
|
I was travelling with a
group of sisters, and due to traffic we arrived very late,
what I really really appreciated was the fact that we were
allowed to sit in the main hall, upper level on the stairs
by the balcony, we all really appreciated this, as we felt
we had the best seats, we were able to see the sheikhs
clearly and listen to them. All the way to the venue we were
afraid we wouldn't find any seating, (not that we had proper
seating, we sat on the floor, but Alhamdulillah it was
definately worthwhile), and we really were very grateful for
this, as I no usually at such a big talk, we wouldn't be
allowed to sit on the floor, but we loved it, thank you.
|
|
Jazak Allah for
organising such a wonderful event. Inshallah keep up the
good work. After reflecting on the content of the event I
would like to say that the speakers were excellent and very
good at articulating the Islamic importance of promoting
peace and good character. |
|
the speaker was great.
like the stores outside they were awesome was good 2 be able
to books tickets before going to this. |
|
It was great to see and
hear Gai Eaton again. Well organised. Well done!
|
|
Asslam-o-Alikum, This
even was amazing as it had bought a wealth of speakers,
JazakAllah Hair for your hard work |
|
Firstly I greatly
appreciated that the timing of the event was near enough on
time. (better than previous event) It also seemed more
organise on entrance. There was lots of available space. And
I greatly liked the fact you had emphasized that children
who begin to make noise during the event should be taken out
of the hall. It seemed to work this time.
|
|
thank you for your caring
... |
|
I though this was a great
event and the topics discussed we more important than
ever!!...my particular favourite was Abdal Hakim Murad and
also Moez Massoud's very inspiring speech....however the
timing was not suitable for me.. I am a young muslimah
having to take the train back late at night can be a
daunting experience at times...but more so I understand
there are many other sisters who also feel they have to rush
off home and well the very reason we came ,to hear the
fabulous Habib Ali al-Jifri ...well we didn't get to hear
him as he came on very late this was frustrating. Other than
that fantastic... another successful Q-News event it would
seem :D |
|
IT was FREE!
|
|
SPEAKERS WERE WELL CHOSEN
& KEPT TO THE POINT, SPOKE WITH CONVICTION & RELEVANCE
CATERING FOR WHOLE AUDIENCE WHO HAVE DIFFERENT LEVELS OF
UNDERSTANDING. |
|
In reference to the above
question 6, I only chose a 'favourite speaker' because I had
to. Each speaker differed in their own unique way, however
they were all equal in the eloquence with which they
delivered there speech. I chose Abdul Hakim Murad as he
offers a more mature and perhaps deeper understanding,
however Moez Massoud speech, which was also very thought
inspiring, delivered his speech in a way that appeals to
many of the muslim youth looking, as his awareness of
western culture and his ability to integrate this into his
talks makes him appear (to me at least) as a young Hamza
Yusuf - which is definitely a good thing! I was also very
impressed by what Hasan Le Gai Eaton and Habib Ali had to
say... so it seems slightly unfair that I had to choose just
one as a favourite, as after this event I feel I have taken
them all as my favourite, it was just amazing that they were
all together on the one evening...(perhaps a visit from
Shaykh Hamza Yusuf would also have provided much benefit!!)
As a convert to Islam looking for halal 'music' Sham were a
most welcome feature, there words resonated in my heart so
deep despite not understanding all of the words. I would
love to see that at more events. The organisation, venue and
fact that is was free was excellent.
|
|
Accessible to a wide
audience as it was without cost (other than getting there),
broad range of speakers, and nasheeds; |
|
I think that the guest
speakers were very good! because I'm quite young I don't
usually understand what the speakers are talking about if I
attend an event like this, but with this event I understood
alot, and it made me think about my life. I think that all
the speakers were excellent especially Moez Massoud and
Habib al- Jifri. I think that Habib was very inspirational,
and I'm so glad that you invited him to this blessed event.
I also thought that Shaam were very good, I'm a big fan of
theirs, they are very spiritual. I really appreciate that
fact that you thought of something like this because we need
events like this because of what is going on around the
world. |
|
The venue was really
excellent, spacious, well lit, nice warm and welcoming
atmosphere. Good mix of speakers from wide and varied
backgrounds. Easy registration. |
|
It started on time!!
Every speaker was brilliant, no fillers, topic very
relevant. |
|
Habib Ali and Moez Masud
|
|
Sorry I did not succeed
in coming to the event despite having booked. I hope to read
about in in Q News. The idea of a "middle way" greatly
attracted me. I have answered the questions from existing
knowledge not from actual experience on Friday
|
|
I enjoyed the speeches
and lectures because they were very clear to understand and
I also enjoyed the performance by SHAAM. Mashallah the whole
event was very rewarding. |
|
The speakers were good
individually in their subject areas. |
|
It was very well
organised. I took a Christian priest friend with me was very
impressed by the high level of organisation, discipline and
time keeping. Needless to say, of course, he was moved by
the speakers, both emotionally and intellectually. Q-News,
well done! I only hope you responded to my e-mails. Anyhow,
ma'alish! |
|
It was an absolutely
amazing event. May Allah reward all those who took part in
organising it! I felt extremely fortunate to be able to
attend. All of the speakers had powerful, meaningful
messages and I came home - ready to spread the word -
Alhamdulillah. One of the questions on the form above threw
me, quite literally, I could not choose between the speakers
at all - they were all very eloquent. I pray we all have the
will and ability to gain knowledge AND act upon it. Events
like this are very much needed today, the Muslims need to
feel united, we need to be united, people like yourselves
are blessed enough to make this a reality for us and may you
continue to do so. The fact that it was free was an absolute
bonus! The fact that everything ran smoothly and on time was
very much appreciated. JazakAllah to all!
|
|
This event was great! The
speakers were inspirational and motivating, particularly
Habib Ali Al-Jifri, Moez Massoud and Abdal-Hakim Murad.
Living in Kensington and Chelsea, were such events are rare,
it is wonderful that such an event has finally been held.
MORE OF SUCH EVENTS PLEASE! Its important that such events
are available to teach and nurture young Muslims, especially
in current times with so many issues that arise with living
in the west, it is vital that there is easy access to
Islamic scholars and role models. Habiba |
|
I found it very
convenient, I learnt a lot from this. |
|
All the speakers were
great, each one having the ability to reach the heart in
their own way. Excellent venue, good timing, beautiful
people Well organised booking system, that worked. The event
catered for a wide range people, these events should not be
allowed to exclude anyone. Jazakallah |
|
I appreciated the
theme/topic of the talks. It was very relevant to address
the 'middle way' for many have forgotten this, and
especially in the light of the recent events. I appreciated
the general feeling that this talk emitted; it was of peace,
justice, righteousness, and to live a true life in
accordance to Allah's ways, insha'Allah. I enjoyed the
nasheeds and dhikr by Shaam, recorded it on my phone as a
memory! :) And most importantly I enjoyed and appreciated
being in the same room as the most respected and
knowledgeable sheikhs that were present...its truly a
blessing. |
|
I benefited enormously
from this event as it was an overwhelming experience which
has spiritually reawakened me. The topic was also very
relevant. The speakers were great and I feel privileged to
have had the opportunity to be in their presence.
Jazakamullah for organising such an invaluable event. |
|
It was well organised,
the hall was large and the general atmosphere was
comfortable, it gave off a good impression to my non-Muslim
friend. Two of the speakers were of high academic calibre
which was also good for a non-Muslim, the topic was
interesting and very necessary for the time.
|
|
bringing together our
honourable scholars. |
|
It is important that
there are regular events held like this all across the
British Isles with informed and distinguished speakers like
the ones at this event who represent the mainstream majority
understanding and interpretation of Islam! This is in order
to counteract the dissenting and vocal minority with their
slogans and sound bytes. Q-News, Mahabba Unlimited, YMO UK
and FOSIS are to be congratulated for working together to
bring this event to fruition! Long may this continue. Keep
up the good work Inshallah! |
|
I appreciated the
organisation and diversity of the speakers. I liked how each
of the speakers spoke on the topic from different angles. I
liked the stalls. |
|
The content of the talks
as well as the speakers - all captivating.
|
|
n/a |
|
I appreciated the variety
of speakers you all provided something different in terms of
the way they address the audience and their style of speech.
|
|
The whole event was
great. So well organised. The organisers were very helpful
and the event was free there were free chocolates and
leaflets. But most importantly the speakers, my words aren't
doing justice, but they were great. I don't know what its
like to be in heaven but it felt like I was in pure bliss.
It was great to have a nasheed group as entertainment as it
was quite a long evening. Thank you soo much Q-News for
everything, really. |
|
I'm happy that the
schedule was able to run on time(ish), and with the variety
of speakers. I appreciated the subtle humour from Fuad Nahdi
as well. I was very impressed with the speakers and the
wisdom that they shared with us. Insha'Allah I will benefit
from the words, and Allah will shower His blessings on the
organisers and give them the ability to set up many more
similar events. |
|
Each and every speaker
was outstanding: eloquent and learned; full of insight and
wisdom. The topics covered were of the utmost importance
considering today's troubled political climate, and they
were dealt with deftly. The nasheed group were uplifting and
a wonderful source of entertainment. A lovely, deeply
informative, & beneficial evening. |
|
Very timely, a good mix
of speakers, Sham helped to bring a break
|
|
Fantastic organisation.
All the speakers were brilliant and inspirational. We need
more events like this to inspire British Muslims.
|
|
The warmth of the hall
which set the tone for the evening |
|
Well organised. |
|
the speakers were great.
the venue was beautiful. it was well organised
|
|
a place where families
can go to help strengthen their iman and their own
relationships, social lives etc. |
|
The speakers were
excellent, Mashallah. The topic was of extreme contemporary
importance but was explained with traditional examples and
with the stamp of authorised ulema. |
|
I appreciated the broad
range of speakers, broad in the sense that they were of
different backgrounds, ages and experiences. Also, I admired
the depth of their knowledge and that they had come so far
to address us. The venue was ideal, sound quality was much
better than it usually is. Seating arrangements were well
planned Mashallah. |
|
It was free. The message
in the speeches by the scholars was superb and to the point.
The organisers were very polite and courteous. The venue was
comfortable and clean. |
|
Assalaamu alaikum, This
event was very much what the Muslims needed in this current
climate. All of the speakers stayed on the topic and there
weren't any silly questions from the audience Alhamdulillah.
Although most of us know the basics of being a good Muslim,
a reminder is pertinent for us to always come back to the
big picture, our worship of Allah and why we are here on
this earth. JazakAllah for all of your efforts. The event
was very well organised Mashallah. The cue moved very
quickly as well when we were entering Alhamdulillah. Keep up
the good work. |
|
The opportunity to come
and listen to Shaykh Habib Ali Al Jifri. |
|
Cant choose a favourite
speaker - really they were all excellent and as Rumi says
embraced and described a different part of the elephant.
|
|
Having different number
of speakers. no time wasted with too many nasheed groups.
relevance of topic for current issues/problems of Muslims.
|
|
The quality of the
speakers, all high calibre. Great speeches, there wasn't any
boring speeches. |
|
Appreciated that the
speakers and the topics they discussed and the manner of
delivery was amazing. So many people attended with minimal
hassle - great organisation and administration mashaa Allah.
Free chocolate and magazine is also very nice! Segregation
was adequately balanced, so that family could still be
together if they wanted - very important to keep it like
that! |
|
It attracted a variety of
people (not just the usual die-hard q-news attendees) who
wouldn't normally consider/have the opportunity to listen to
traditional scholars of the highest calibre. Also the
working in conjunction with several Islamic organisations is
very impressive - it's high time that we put our differences
aside and hand the pedestal over to those who know better
than us. The fact that it was free was also a bonus - makes
it very accessible/feasible for all. |
|
Always satisfying to
listen to words of wisdom, particularly when relevant to our
present situation. All the speakers were excellent and left
me feeling inspired and spiritually energised.
|
|
Alhamdulillah, it was
great to see and hear Habib Ali speak. |
|
Habib was there. |
|
JZK for organising such a
fantastic event. I think it was really good overall. As a
student that it was free was great and much appreciated. The
speakers where all really amazing Mashallah and I like that
they were all unique in their own way, yet all brought
important messages to us. There was certainly something for
everyone, young and old alike, as a result of this. The
organisers where helpful, it was on time, the caramel bars
where nice ;) and most of all the content was interesting
and useful. My sister said it was just the way an event
should be "free, packed, excellent speakers, nice stalls,
good topics and you come home feeling exhausted but
refreshed" |
|
I think the event was
very well organised. There were top class ulema to teach us,
whose presence is much needed and required - Alhamdulillah.
Great venue and Mashallah please share how we have reached
the stage that we can organise an event in a Town Hall in
City and fly in Ulema all for FREE - Mashallah this is a
great milestone - Alhamdulillah! The event also started on
time which was another bonus. I also liked the fact that
networking was taking place between different partner
organisations. I also appreciated the Ulema flying in and
the local ones taking time out, Sayyidina Habib Ali, Shaykh
Abdul Hakim Murad, Sidi Moez Masud, Shaykh Hasan and the
compere - Fuad Nahdi. I also liked the fact that there were
nasheeds from a great traditional band like Shaam performing
and always like this in event to through in a bit of mixture
and light relief and entertainment between talks. Also the
opportunity to pose questions. Also following up with this
feedback form. |
|
o love the fact that so
many brothers and sisters were under 1 roof with some of the
most eminent muslim speakers present - Mashallah..
|
|
What I liked: * what was
mentioned about consumerism is something I needed to hear *
the variety of speakers * the seating arrangements * I could
hear everything clearly * I really needed to hear that as I
feel that since working u can forget your real purpose here
and when I attend such events it redirects me back to my
aims and improves my ibadah as I'm more aware and stronger *
I especially liked how the speakers kept on touching on
taking responsibility and including non-Muslims in justice
etc... |
|
Excellent programme but
please don't make it more than 3 hours |
|
Always satisfying to
listen to words of wisdom, particularly when relevant to our
present situation. All the speakers were excellent and left
me feeling inspired and spiritually energised.
|
|
seeing like minded
people. |
|
the intellectual side of
it the spot on analysis the nasheeds the organisation
|
|
The speakers. The topics
discussed were extremely relevant, and the message conveyed
was clear. |
|
The event was very well
organised particularly in terms of the mixture of
"performances" i.e.. that you interspersed lighter
experiences such as Moez Massoud and Shaam with the more
heavy going speakers such as Sh Abdul Hakim Murad. You
invited speakers of exceptional calibre, none of whom
disappointed in anyway. The only thing that could have been
better would have been if all my friends and family had
attended!
|
|
Alhamdulillah, an
excellent event.... well done... please continue with the
excellent work... we need more events like this, especially
in smaller cities/towns...... not just the bigger cities -
so please come to Peterborough soon....) |
|
Ma sha Allah it has been
a really good experience for me; the venue was very 'chick',
it was well organised, and well on time (not MST (muslim
standard time=late..) like most of the time). We definitely
need more event like that, where speakers actually speak
about true Islam, keeping tight to our tradition.

1. Everyone appreciate
the chocolate.
2. What a good way to start the X-ms break!
3. Easy access to public transport- tube was only a shout
away
4. Everything else was good; all groups sponsoring the event
got time to explain what and who they are and introductions
by Father Fuad Nahdi were good for those who came as first
timers. |
|
1) Having the opportunity
to listen to world class scholars 2) Issues extremely
pertinent to the time we are living in |

Talks were amazing and
chocolates were nice touch. |

Alhamdulillah the event
was well organised, it opened alot of eyes as I and my
friends did not know of many of the speakers & found there
talks very inspiring & some even took a place within the
heart, Alhamdulillah. I also enjoyed Shaam & it was an
excellent choice of Nasheed singers, & a breath of fresh
air. Alhamdulillah keep it up & Inshallah will be seeing u
soon I hope. Salaam |

Without sounding rude I
would like to say that all the speakers were my favourite so
it is hard to select one, I thought Shaykh Habib Ali's was
really inspiring and Moez Masoud's talk was on a level that
my generation would find easy to understand so Alhamdulillah
I though it was great. The greatest feature to this event
was that it was completely FREE!! Alhamdulillah that was
great and most generous of you to do so. I have signed up to
the newsletter and would like to be kept updated of future
events |

Everything!!!! Mashallah,
it was phenomenal. Well organised, great speakers, awesome
venue! I must congratulate the whole team who organised this
event.....couldn't believe it was free!!! I am very much
looking forward to the future talks. Keep up the great work!
If there is anything I can do on an individual level, please
do not hesitate to contact me. Wasalaam. |

The speeches of Habib Ali
and the hall |
|
The shuyukh, the
organisation, the punctuality, the price* |
|
The location was easy to
find. The hall was an excellent venue. There was plentiful
seating so people were not crammed together as usually
happens at these events. The OHP screen and sound technology
meant you could see and hear the entire talk in it's
entirety with comfort no matter where you were sitting. It
was free!! |

Wow. it's great that you
guys are doing a survey. I've never seen something like this
in the states. bravo. even in California which is very much
the cutting edge of the us. I enjoyed the variety of
speakers. I also though the venue was great (although wish
it was in a more convenient location - Kensington is hard to
get to). you guys pretty much started on time, which was
great. |

Subhanallah, the adaab
present, I found particularly good. Mainly, the speakers,
and the way in which not only did they link to the title of
the event, adding their own character to it, but interpreted
this to here and now, Mashallah...not only inspiring but
calming to the soul too. I found the organising of it was
done well, and at first though I was a little apprehensive
that the hall was too small, I think in the end it just made
it feel so much more special! Sincerely, having been to many
Islamic events recently, today's, Mashallah... just made me
glow! Jazakallah khair, from not only me but my mum, and
brother too, May Allah reward you all for your efforts,
Ameen. |
